off subject...

what is that diamond plate? toolbox? do you have any better shots of it?

I know you are talking to Greg because his toolbox is diamond plate and mine is not, but I hope you don't mind me inserting a comment. I mounted a toolbox on my tractor (see attachments) and thought it would be great. I finally have removed it and will not put it back on. The darn thing was just too big and impossible to see behind the tractor. My boxblading improved 100% since I removed it. If you decide to add a toolbox behind the seat, make sure it isn't too big like mine was.

i bought that high dollar one from the JD dealer and haven't put it on, yet....

so bigger isn't always better....

yeah, i can see where it would be obtrusive.........thanks for showing....

after i put mine on there, i'll post up what i think.....

like i've said before, these modern tractors, with all the smooth contours, don't have very many places to put things.........even though many of you, on here, have solved that problem.......i like to see how others solve the problem/s

Anyone else have fenders that cracked?

Greg
Here is my opinion why this is happening. I have noticed the tractors that were cracked have those fel control boxes on both fenders. Too heavy perhaps for the design?

I have a '06 TC45A with no fel and my fenders are fine and I have the same mounting brackets as you have.

Flatheadyoungin, Sorry for not responding sooner, I've been out of the country and on vacation and finally back. My father-inlaw had the tool box made for me from a guy in FLA. I'll be at the farm this weekend and I'll take a few pics if you want to see more of it.

Sweep, I don't think any of the controls hang from the fender and I'll look this weekend.

I did get my new fenders on and picked up the tractor between coming home from buisness and heading out on vacation. I know they added a support under the fender to help stop the flexing. I'll take a good look this weekend and take some pics. I know it sure feels stiffer when I step on the step to get on. I did ask if the extra bracket was with the fenders and they said no, it's something they do. They were surprised to see the right side cracked as most don't use the right side. I think mine cracked because when I have the backhoe on I usually push on the fenders getting on and off. I'm going to see how much extra bracing they put on and I just might add a few more if I can. I have 7 months left on the warrenty and then it will be my $$ to fix it.

Look for some pics on Monday.

Sorry for the delay in getting the pics of the new fenders. They added a brace under each fender for support. I can really tell the differance when getting on and off. I have till June to work it hard and then the warrenty is up. I think this might do the trick.

Same brackets on the inside:

New bracket added under the fender:

Flatheadyoungin: here's a better pic of my tool box. I can see over it to hook things up if I really lean back and raise up off the seat. Any wider and I wouldn't be able to do that. I really like the box as I now have a place for the BFH. :D

Does the brace have a NH part number or it is something the local dealer just made?

I see where it bolts on the bracket by the rops but did they drill a hole in the fender for the horizontal part of the bracket? Or did it bolt into the grap handle?

My left fender on my TC35A has begun to crack. The dealer said that he has seen problems, but I need to come back in with the serial number. Does anyone have any new information about this problem? Any sense that New Holland has a refit kit? I love this tractor, but the fenders will not last the life of the tractor. 600 hours is just broken in and the fender is clearly stressed.

Boatyard, My dealer didn't bat an eye when I told him mine cracked and said he saw this a lot. He did say he doesn't see a lot of right side cracking because most people get on and off on the left side. I do a lot of right side when I have the BH on as I'm usually digging up cedar trees and get into spots where that's the only side really clear to mount and dismount.

Anyone else have this problem fixed by their dealer?
Where is New Holland on the problem?
