Techniques for spreading mulch with a FEL

Were you able to practice your FEL "shakeing at the tipping point" technique?

Yup, it wasn't as easy as spreading loam, but it worked pretty well. I did all the areas without plantings that way. It just needed a quick drag of the rake to level everything after. For the areas with plantings, which are unfortunately most of the areas I had to toss the mulch by hand to get under the branches and not damage the non-woody plants.
