Tee In return line

I'm on the home stretch on my backhoe thumb. The spool valve I got I need to Tee into the existing return line coming from the Backhoe levers going to the tank. Can i tee into the line right where it comes out of the backhoe spool valve or does it have to be closer to the tank? I'm trying to minimize the lengths of hose I need.


So far. Main power into new lever, PB port to existing BH Valves. Tank return from new lever goes Tee's into existing return lines. Just want to make sure if the Tee is threaded into existing Return it won't cause backflow or anything like that.

Anywhere in the low-pressure line to the reservoir is fine. Just don't
restrict it with small hoses, or small-ID adapters.

Sounds like you are making progress. Post pix of the new thumb control.

Make sure you know exactly what you are doing with hydraulics... It's not something to guess... Can you just get an adapter to dump the return into the tank where you normally fill it???
