When I move the sun-visor in my truck over to the door, it often times does not block the sun.
If I pull the padded visor back a little further, it will slide on the rod holding it up so it is in position to block the sun.
I have been driving this truck for 16 years and just found this out.
No one tells me anything.

I’ve also seen sun visors that have an additional flap you can pull out to extend and make it longer. Another vehicle tip, that stalk on the left side of the steering wheel that may contain headlight switch, cruise control, wiper controls etc. can also be moved up or down and will indicate what direction you will be turning.
