have a temp gage not working on my2004 new holland tl100 what should i look at first.fuses ok wires ok how do i check sending unit or what else, sorry kinda new at this. patrick

I would find the Temp sensor on the block and see if the wire is still attached. The vibration on these machines can cause wire failure. Corrosion on the terminal is another thing. Slip off the wire and clean any contacts. I believe another test for just the gauge itself is with the tractor running take and short the wire to the block (a good clean connection) and see if the meter deflects at all. If it doesn't I would follow the wires to the meter to see if there is anything else like a broken or pinched wire.

that was it, checked this weekend and the gauge jumped when grounded, ordered a new sending unit, thanks much.

stupid things that people learn from, the radiator cap was lose when i took out the old plug and as you can guess it was like a hose gushing out , made scamble to get new plug in with finger in the hole to stop the flow had to lol at my stupidity, well got plug in and the side of tractor got wet from radiator fluid, went to start and nothing wet connectors and plugs. will take apart and dry hope that fixes the no start problem. if not i will post again on what I need to do. wow lesson learned. Patrick
