 Brandi, you look so young, who would have known you was talk'n in 1938:D Your sexy for an old lady:eek:

Thank you . My hope is she can be independent and rely on no man..Then she can pick and choose for the right reasons.

Lou, that is funny right there:laughing: Problem for me is, now I have 2 nurses in the house, so I get left out of the "medical discussions" My recommendation is always the same though, call Kevorkian

If you have some Crown reserve handy, you may want to have Care flight on "standby":D
Dennis,
Thanks. Dad was 37 when I was born. He always had a story about when he was on the farm.
Here's a photo of him on the farm with one of his many horses and greyhounds. M.C.jpg

We dodged the bullet. 1 3/4" of rain no ice and snow. Now just cloudy and 28*. The weather channel sez we will only get down to the mid-20's. It's all because I wrote that book on Clean Living.

I wouldn't have minded a little snow 'cause I know here in Texas snow is a spectator sport and you've got to look fast.

Charlie,
Your so right about the snow down here. Everything grinds to a halt to savor the snow before it melts. It's been a while since we had snow on the ground here. Christmas day 1983 was 10 degrees and there was ice on the bay we lived near on Lake Conroe. The snow didn't last long that time. Heck, it's snowed, just a few Christmas's ago, down in Rockport near Corpus Christi and it didn't snowed here.

I hunker down anytime we have freezing and rainy conditions here. Too many overpasses around here to go anywhere past Willis.

Well, it's Pearl Harbor day. I decided to post a copy of photos I have of my parents within a year or so of Dec. 7, 1941. Mom born and raised in Houston and Dad born and raised on the farm in Higgins, Texas.

bindian- Great pictures. I love old family pictures. I have three generations of Pics that I enjoy going thru when I get the time.

I had just got my tractor in Nov 2010, then in Feb 2011 we had about 8" of snow, which is a lot for around here. I had a great time clearing the drive though I thought I was going to freeze my **** off (no cab). It was a lot of fun but I wouldn't want to have to do it on a regular basis.

Hope all stay warm and snug inside till this stuff moves out.

Charlie

I just now saw on the TV news that Oncor says there's still 100,000 people in the area without electricity. I thank the Lord that so far we're not among them.
