Don it is a city ordinance,, if you hadn't been annexed since 1987 and not within a 100 yards of a home,, then you are father in lawed.. I also have 54 acres that is part of this same property that is in the county,, They are putting in a new county roads, four lanes concrete that on the south side of me and a four lanes on the east side.. The city wants 60 ft. easement between the city property and county land.. before long I will be out of the ranching/driving range/farming.. this area is growing too fast for me,, Lou

Sounds like its time to sell out and move to the country.

That's the same thing they did to a lot of the land some airports used to sit on. Many of us lost aerobatic boxes because houses were put under them.

I think the cities are moving in almost everywhere.

yep FarmGirl,, things change,, with this new road it's 35 minutes to Galveston or 35 minutes to Houston.. before it was an hour or more. Now it's a straight shot.. at 70 mph.. I am thinking I got another two to three years before I will have to sell.. or could sell tomorrow.. You only need so much money.. before you start to waste it,, or spoil others.. They say you can't take it with you.. but I am writing myself a check in case I needs something on the other side.:confused2:.:laughing: Lou

I decided to post my bathroom renewal photos so Y'all won't think I was a complete couch potato last month. The old tub faded over it's 19 years.
All the new tub's trim is white PVC trim from Lowes. Super easy to work with and install.
