Funny, bindian. I love grapefruit! I find oranges too sweet, but can eat 5 pounds of grapefruit a day, when it is coming up from the Valley fresh! I'll eat it, to the exclusion of almost everything else! And I still prefer the original grapefruit to the Ruby Red. They tried to get a sweeter grapefruit with the RR, and almost ruined it, IMO.

Gorgeous 77* today! A great day to be hanging out in barns! I also got most of my onion patched hoed, so will finish that and get the onions in tomorrow, while topping water troughs, etc., and trying to beat the next front coming. Last I heard, chance of wintry mix here on Sunday. GO AWAY WINTER!!!!

Never really understood (when I was younger) why my Dad's youngest brother left the farm in Higgins and went 18 miles over to Shattuck OK. Later in life, while visiting local cemeterys for Family Tree research, I learned we had kin all over the place up there in several little communities on both sides of the state line. Also, like mentioned above, sometimes you gotta follow the jobs. My Dad's youngest brother built up the only lumber yard/concrete truck/house building company within 40 miles. Shattuck had the hospital, Higgins didn't. I had cousins and an aunt live in Higgins and work in the hospital in Shattuck.

Jim,
Oh yeah.........I don't think the wind south of the border blows northward much.

bindian: Of course the wind does. Texas always gets the smoke when Mexico is burning.

Now that was funny.

Maybe Jim was talking about Pasadena, or Galveston after a fish killing red tide.

So I walked into the store and saw an old friend. I said, "Crown, how would you like to come home with me and have a Royal time?";)

Never shot at golf balls before, but there's an idea to "kill two birds with one stone" so to speak. Of course you'd be picking up pieces.
