We got right at a quarter inch of rain on Thursday. About a half of inch of rain yesterday and over an inch today. Still raining. Glad to see the trees blooming. Now I can start digging up the dead ones..........when the ground gets a little dried out. Too wet know.
hugs, Brandi

I just checked my rain gage this morning to find it is 3-1/4", and it is still raining. My grandson woke me up this morning to tell me the pond is full.:) Well, it's not full, but it is only down about 2' from overflow. This is just a marvelous rain event for us and I could not be happier.

Last Friday when I went to buy more tractor diesel, I stopped by the garden and picked about 8 spears of asparagus around 1' long. I carried them with me in the truck and munched on them for lunch. It took some sting out of spending $125 for 33 gallons of diesel. I'm burning around 15 gallons per 8 hr day in my big tractor. When you work it hard, it burns about 2 gallons per hour.

I quess I'm on the North end of this ... since I put out fertilize Wed ... I now have 1" in the gauge, been a nice slow let the fertilize absorb in rain.

Won't be long and that 33 gallons will be slightly more!!

It quit raining here about an hour ago; may be only temporary, but yesterday and today I've only gotten a total of about 1.43" of rain. But I'm sure I'll need to mow as soon as it's dry enough.

It was raining pretty hard when I went to bed at 3am, If I ever remember to get another rain gauge I'll know what I got:laughing: Only think about it when it's raining:eek:

Jim, after all the hard work "we" did "watching you" work on that dam, no photos???? Now what are you going to do, retire? again:D

WeldingisFun, you mean they started in the rain!!! You must be kidding:laughing: Sorry that was a cheap shot:D Been there with cows, rain sleet, snow. PITA if there's a problem.

Bird, I needed to mow "before" the rain, so now it will just be taller, at least I got a new mulching blade and oil changed in my little push mower:thumbsup:

Remember to make your clock change and new Fire alarm batteries too!!

Well, went on a little "walk-about" and took a photo going up out of my creek towards my food plot. This Springs growth, trumps all of last years growth. I have identified several more trees that have died, so not looking good on that front.
