28 degrees here and I reckon when it warms up next week, I'll do the final lawn mowing of the year and use the bagger to get the leaves up, too.

Finally got a little Winter feeling this morning, it's 31* and damp with all the rain we've had, and a lite wind out of the North. Should warm quickly once the sun gets up. Hope the mud has dried enough to get the tractor out today for some odd jobs after I grease it.

Brandi-- It was too muddy to move the Tractor over to the Garage.......to be serviced. Trying not to tear up my Beautifully Manicured Back Yard.LOL

It does look like we are going to have some nice weather for a few days though.

I have got so much rain down here that I am going today and check with John Deere, Kubota, New Holland, Mahindra and Massy Ferguson to see who sell Tugboat with underwater disc,, that will take tractors for a trade in,, I need to be ready to disc my hay fields this spring so the crawdads population with be fat,, for crawfish season.. The cows are starting to look like a moose with their head underwater forging. :shocked:. Lou

Great sighting yesterday. I was walking away from the back porch yesterday morning when I saw 2 large birds chasing each other. At first I thought the were Red Tail Hawks(we have a lot around here). But they looked larger. They flew around a couple of trees then headed right for me at about 12 feet off the ground, and they were covering ground pretty good. But to my surprise they were 2 beautiful Bald Eagles. They turned right as they flew overhead and were gone.

I had never seen a Bald Eagle in the wild before and they are truly Beautiful and Majestic. I had heard that there were some over on Lake Fork which is about 5 miles away.......as the Eagle Flies. I'm on the lookout now and would love to see some when the Grandkids are out, that would be a kick.

Office is located on the north side of Houston, 45 and the Sam Houston Tollway. I want to be within 40-50 minutes of the office.

Yesterday, I decided to not wait until next week. I spent 3 hours mowing and bagging leaves; actually not much grass to mow, but let the mower chop the leaves so more would fit in 6 big contractor bags. And I was worn out by the time I finished, but at least that should be the last mowing of the year.

Office is located on the north side of Houston, 45 and the Sam Houston Tollway. I want to be within 40-50 minutes of the office.

East and North of Willis has some fine parcels. Especially out past Montgomery County Airport, which is my area. Conroe is opening up lots of new streets connecting existing roads in this area, so more acreage is opening up. Southern Walker County also.

Cut & Shoot is due south of me. Lots of rif raf down that way. Tons of trailer houses. Cut & Shoot is due East of Conroe and all the way to Cleveland (to me) is the same. There are a few large tracts with nice houses, but you have to drive past or thru lots of trailers and broken down houses to find them.

Due West of Conroe is Lake Conroe and the houte toute rich folks.
