We got 2 1/2" in about 45 minutes Tuesday night / Wednesday a.m. Winds over 60 mph too. Complete washed out 4 low place I had just filled and planted grass seed on. That was sure a waste!

Yep, we're presently in the bullseye for 8-10" of rain overnight Monday night.

Snorkels work too if they are water tight.

It is actually nice outside. Cloudy and cool, a bit of wind to keep you cool.

I think the new state weed should be declared wild rye. It has taken over the state, coming up early and then growing up through the wildflowers (covering or hiding them). It is quite invasive, but the good news is it is good for cows, it doesn't sting or have a sticker/burr. Some places in my fields have it almost waist deep. Some ranchers will try to bale it if they can get some dry days, but it takes a long time to dry if you don't have a conditioner/crimper.

I'm ready for some more of that magical rain we had back in May/June. Dry as a bone here now. Dust galore and yard grass is very angry!

I had 2 hours of mowing to do this morning, and even starting at 6:30 a.m., I was dripping wet before I finished. I'd love to see some more rain. Incidentally, if I haven't mentioned it lately, I HATE hot weather!

Over the 4th of July weekend, I was changing clothes 4 times a day, along with cooling, tub rinse offs. I was outside digging up trees in a corner of the pond to expand the pond. Was changing clothes 3 times at work (nite shift) last week. Not as much this week. Seems to a lot less humid.
