We got 1 inch the other day. Y'all can have it right now. I'm still enlarging the pond. 10-30-16 Dam Removal and Bank Sloped.jpg So I don't need any rain delays.

We got some much needed rain too, but not that much. I kept watching the radar and you guys got it good. South of Columbus too.

Kyle, we're about 12 miles SW of Columbus and we were in the sweet spot of that rain. It rained for almost 5 hours.

National Weather Service shows that Denton officially had the first freeze of the season about 5 a.m. this morning; got down to 32 degrees briefly before starting back up slowly.

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all. No turkey here today. I got catered ribs, brisket, and sausage, along with baked potato casserole. So no cooking either. Yippee!

On a sadder note...........we got 1.25 inches of rain yesterday, so no pond or dam work yesterday.

On a happier note.......the sunshine should let me get back to work this sometime this morning. I get to play, I mean work the CAT and tractor until Luke gets home..............then it will be time to play..............who can eat the most barbque!
hugs, Brandi

Brandi, I wish I'd gotten 1.25" of rain. I did get about .16" night before last, but the lawn needs more. And we're doing a "semi-catered" Thanksgiving ourselves, but ham, turkey, taters, gravy, rolls, apple cobbler, iced tea, plates, etc. from a local BBQ place. But then I've made deviled eggs and peach cobbler (and got ice cream to go with the cobbler), others are bringing cranberry sauce, pecan pie, sweet potato casserole, a mixed fruit salad dish, and I don't know what all else. But there's no doubt the 10 of us will have more than we can eat.

Bird..........thanks for reminding me.............I forgot to buy Blue Bell. I think I will try a new turkey recipe for Christmas dinner. I just heard on the TV news about bacon wrapped turkey. I missed the details, but it should show up on the internet.
