Rain or shine I’m just glad to be alive and well in Texas!

We got a gully washer this morning at 5:30. It dumped 1.5 inches in an hour. At 6:30, a bolt of lightning threw me out of bed. Scared, I opened the back door and shined a flashlight at the barn, thinking the huge White Oak beside the barn took a hit and fell on the barn and tractor. Nothing happened, went back to bed and woke up to this..................
Prayer answered. Thank you Lord.

But that's not true for all of us. We have a daughter and her husband in Irving, a daughter and her 16 year old daughter in Ft. Worth, but then we have a grandson, his wife, and two little ones way out west in Midland. So they arrived in Ft. Worth already to spend today with his father (who also has a birthday today), then we'll all celebrate Christmas tomorrow at the younger daughter's home, so grandson and his family can get back to Midland for him to go to work Monday, and then they'll have their Christmas with her family in Midland on the calendar Christmas Day.

It can sometimes get confusing.:laughing::laughing:

We had our Christmas today with Mom over at her house because of my brother. Once kids have kids and multiple families are involved and work days are scattered Christmas is a week or two celebration.

We will be in East Texas for Christmas and I didn’t stock up enough on the Delicious Tamales in San Antonio so we may not have enough to go around to everyone Christmas morning.

Understand Bird. We are having Christmas dinner on Tuesday and opening gifts Tuesday night. Because my daughter and Grand daughter spend Christmas with my ex this year.
