Texas Heat!

I got 1/4" overnight from several small showers, but north of Bowie toward Bellevue got hammered with hail and heavy downpours.

Had a shower yesterday but my rain gauge is too big, the bottom just got wet. I need a rain gauge like Bird's, then I could say that my rain gauge was halfway full by the downpour. But hey, there is no dust for at least a half a day, no complaints here!

Well at least there is some rain in some areas ... my gauge shows 6/10ths from last night.

Got 3 small food plots disc and planted yesterday. The ground was nice and moist from the previous days rain and it looks like we got just over 1/4" last night sometime after 12 midnight.

I planted cheap feed oats and 10 pounds of Austrian winter peas since I am skeptical over future rain fall, but who knows. 40% chance today and tonight and 20-30% Wednesday and Thursday, I may get lucky.

Larry, Grapefest is a long way from Central TX and even 70 miles from me. I'll take all the rain that was supposed to fall on Grapefest and let your sis have a great birthday and performance.:thumbsup:

I checked the Grapevine forcast and it calls for scattered T-storms. Maybe she'll get a clear 2 hour window.

There is no clearances for weed abatement. I was wondering what the distance was, as I will landscape soon, maybe just cactus.

I see rain west and south, but all that's here is blowing sand.

I was referring to the CAL Fire recommendations. Guessing most states have similar.
