Hey, where is my work photo? I had way too much fun today to call it work, helping Harvey and you. I stayed longer than I planned. I got home and didn't do a thing but unpack and walk around my place.
We have been getting around 2/10ths of an inch of rain a day here. Forecast is rain all week.

Here are a few action pictures taken today on Mikim's Gate building project. Lots of fire and smoke and it gets set in place for the final weldings and extension railings.

The TBN get together was a blast with a few new faces. Brandy I don't think your grandchild ever stopped smiling, just looking at her makes one smile back. You have a very nice family. Jim and Kathy drove the farthest so they get the award. For the closest it was probably Kyle. It was great getting to see some of the Texas get-together bunch again.

I caught Chloe in a "non-smile" while fighting sleep in her swing this morning.

BR, some folks around here got over 8"!!! I am hearing that a few of the lakes south of me have risen 3-4' so far. My home lake I haven't heard about yet, but it was below 50% capacity. e are listed under "severe drought" currently

Hey Mikim, turns out we have another connection. Turns out I work with your former squadron buddy's son. From the Rosanky area. He was telling me that he and his dad were supposed to go to meet an old friend in Paige for some beer taste testing. After a bit more conversation, we figured out we were talking about the same party! We couldn't stop laughing. I told him he needs to get his dad hooked up with TBN if he already hasn't already joined.

Our old 2002 Crown Vic has been at the dealer all week because Sunday the power door locks and "auto down" on the driver's power window quit working. The problem is a bad electronic control module in the driver's door, and in 3 days of searching, they can't find one.

Anyway, while I was there this morning, I found they have a used 2014 Escape SE with the 2.0L ecoboost on the lot, so I took it out for a test drive. I don't even know what three-fourths of those buttons and switches are for, but it's a blast to drive, and Margaret fell in love with it. I don't think we can afford it right now, but maybe before long.

Well, yesterday evening they made me an offer I couldn't refuse, so we now own that 2014 Escape.
