Brandi, that looks like one heck of a fun outing with your daughter. I think the reason you see so many young people at concerts is that it's way too much walkin' for us old-timers. . . of course you are excepted in that old-timer label. I was just talkin' about me.;)

We got out the .22 cal rifle yesterday and did target shooting. That was a lot easier on my granddaughter than the shotgun. She has a slightly bruised shoulder from the clay pigeon shooting.

Jim, where's the shade, cup holder, iPod connection, and the foot rest at that shooters station?:D

Don, I thought you were going to ask about hearing protection.:ashamed: We figured outside with a .22 cal, it was optional. The .22 just has a sweet little crack.

I will tell you Dennis,, I have crossed Brahma with Angus, solid and bald face,, back to Brangus, to Maine Anjou, Long horns,, Charolais and Hereford,, Just to see what I could come up with,, Mine's more of a hobby,, than a breeder,, only one that I found to not cross well was the long horn and brahma,, you lose a few long horns because the size of the brahma calf.. plus the calves are double ugly.. lol..

My old Hereford mama, that I raised back eons ago, was bred to a Brahma bull that Dad's friend had. The vet had to be called and he used a block and tackle to pull the calf out! White faced cattle always have been my favorite. Dad was raised with Longhorns. Those would be fun to breed.

Jim,
My old knee only hurts when it is inactive or bent. All that walking made it feel great. But my left foot walked enough Sunday to get a little swelling action going on. I really don't want to go to concerts, but seeing my daughter's face at the concert is way worth it.
hugs, Brandi

yea Brandi,, if your going to use a Brahma bull for breeding other than Brahma cows,, you will be pulling a few,, I done it more times than I came remember,, I carry a strap around with me during calving season that goes across my back and tie the ends to the legs and pull when she pushes,, then they usely get up and horn me or kick me.. women.. I have ran from a few of them,, I do like trees in the pasture.. lol..Lou

Well I figured better start on dragging the pastures getting rid of the hog roots and gopher mounds. While I was at figured thin out the thick yellow flowers, maybe they won't be so bad next year. Got 50tons of LIME coming tomorrow for hay meadow.View attachment 308194

I have some reg.charolai heifers but I have a lot better calving ease with the angus bull, than a charolais bull. I would like all my cattle to have alittle ear but to much will see it at sale. I also have couple tigerstripes and baldies both would be a favorite of mine. Some I kept from last year
