Y'all are making me hungry! :licking:

Been out on the tractor, and just came in to cook me some lunch, and here it is 2:30! Oh well, I usually only eat once a day anyway. But reading the menu here, makes it harder!

At least someone is getting something done!!

I mowed my yard, worked in the garden a while, but didn't get more than 4 hrs of sleep last. When the heat hit I started dragg'n. Don't you hate not being able to turn off your brain!! Shouldn't be hard for me, with what little brain I was given anyhooo:laughing:

I did check the forecast, who in the world threw the 40% in there?? Glad it's there, but how about a "heads up" Pete Delkus, so I can schedule:laughing:

Me, too. Usually start about 7 a.m. and finish about 7 p.m.

But Bird; You are not trying to maintain a "girlish" figure! :D

I've never been a big breakfast eater, and now coffee is all that I want in the mornings. Lunch is usually late enough to combine lunch and supper, into one normal meal.

I have been scratchin' my head over this zucchini mystery in my garden. I swear I planted seeds out of the same envelope, but I obviously have different zuc plants. What do you think? Have you ever seen two plants that look so different from the same seed pack. They both make similar zucchinis, but the leaves of the plants are sure different.

We bought four more banana pepper plants yesterday and I set them out this morning. I looked closely at the current plants and two were bought from a local feed store and the other "banana peppers" from my favorite greenhouse. It seems the greenhouse mislabelled the plants. They are jalapenos instead of banana peppers. As a result, I have nice 6" banana peppers on two plants and 2-1/2" long jalapenos on the original ones. I also checked under the solid leaf canopy of the bell peppers and was thrilled to find baseball sized bell peppers looking healthy and still growing. I'll be eating fresh peppers within a week when they all mature. I have to pick green beans again in the morning.

Never seen that with a seed packet, jinman. I do notice many of the heirloom tomato plants have different leaves from the hybrids. Maybe your zucchini is hybrid, and some are a "throwback".

Yep Dennis, that's exactly what I thought, but both plants have identical green zucs.:confused2: Maybe the people who put together the seed packets are kin to the folks at the greenhouse who labelled the jalapeno peppers as banana peppers.:D

At least someone is getting something done!!

Yesterday, I started early; mowed, edged, and trimmed our yard and the one on the north side of us, then mowed without trimming and edging, the one on the south side of us, drove to the nearest gas station for more mower and trimmer gas, took the dog for a 30 walk in the park, then pulled the screens off and washed the outside of all the windows and glass doors on the house, came in, took a shower and collapsed.

And today, I've done almost no work at all.

I'll mow the lawn at 6:30 tomorrow, then run the weedeater around the yard fence and down at the front gate. Then, I'll climb back on the tractor and finish what I skipped today. My bull was in the way, and he gets annoyed at the tractor. Figured I was close to finished anyway.

Some of y'all have had more opportunity for keeping caught up, than the rest of us. And Mondays come around too often.

I hope that I get rained out too! I can always clean house or something else fun indoors.

Right, Actually I hope there is so much rain, I have to use my little boat to take you back the the mainland:laughing: Enough room for Jim, Bird too. G..that would be a sight.:D

Well, this farmgirl is on a hill. It will take a LOT of rain to do more than run into my stock tank, and it NEEDS a good runoff! I'll be brush hogging areas that should be 10-12 feet under water!

FG19, I just happen to know a guy that has about 100 miles of hose AND a deep well, we can get the pond full:D Have to find out Jim's schedule so he wont know though.

Sounds like a great plan, to me! :D

I doubt he would notice, he has probably another 500 miles of hose, so 100 wouldn't even show!! He's only about 35 miles from me and your just about 25ish, so 60 miles worth. We'll sell the left over:laughing:

Well, if I might not get to do it tomorrow, maybe I should go push the mower around the lawn tonight. I don't see anything on the radar yet. And here I was planning to be a bum for the evening!
