I got about .04, enough to cool it down some. The winds have been nice in the shade, but will dry my place out in this weeks heat.

I thought I was boring people with my pictures. I'll try to get some and post them later. This year, my whole place is green, including weeds.:(

Not at all! I can always live vicariously through *your* pics, since things are turning brown rapidly here. Last rain I had was almost 3 weeks ago, and I still didn't get as much as some of you. Right now, I am resigning myself to praying for enough rain that any overseeding of the pastures that I do with ryegrass, gets to grow and give winter forage!

Glad to hear that you got some rain, Western! I'm glad you and jinman did. Dry here.

Oh, and Hereford left, this morning y'all, so he's no longer available.

Airshows, I love 'em. Went last year to Randolph AFB. Great static display but no B-2 there. Blue angels did their amazing thing. Many other stunt pilots and the old FiFi bomber took off and did a fly by.

Have not been out west to a CAF, but have caught many of their shows in the past.

Then you should LOVE this! I posted on another thread over July 4. It is one of my favorite videos! And yes, many of these pilots are based locally, in McKinney.

Anyone who loves airplanes needs to visit Anchorage and visit all the airports there. I don't know of any other place where you could see as many different makes, models, and types of aircraft.

Jim, I honestly didn't know if Bob was still with us or not. I just assumed that he wasn't flying aerobatics anymore...sorry.

I flew into Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Ketchikan in land aircraft. Great places, for sure. Would go back in a heartbeat, in the summer. From Ketchikan to Bell Island, float plane only, as with many other islands. Thus begins an "addiction".

I think Alaska is a BEAUTIFUL state, with an assortment of neat aircraft. I have an old college class-mate living and working in Fairbanks now.

yall quit hogging all that rain...we had a forest/brush fire near Smithville/Bastrop area this morning.

Shades of the fires from 2 years ago come to mind.

Scary, if you ask me.

Hey pacerron; Rocognize anyone in these pics? If so, no names please mentioned in the thread, please. I have an internet stalker, that shows up on my real name. And for the rest of you, yes, that's me as PIC, so no wisecracks from y'all either! LOL
