Two new blouses yesterday..............$81.
hugs, Brandi

 !! $81 !!! Thats a years supply of clothes for me!!!!!! Glad I aint no girl!!:D

Lou,
I went back out about 23:30 for one more look. The moon was still behind a haze but not too much to drag out the camera, still on the tripod from earlier, and grab a couple shots before it went behind thick clouds again.
This one was taken at 23:43, f-6.5, ISO-100, 1/60th, exposure bias -1, manual focus on infinity. With the clouds auto focus wouldn't stay locked in. At that distance manual-infinity keeps the camera happy :confused2: I cropped away most of the black surround.
By processing the RAW shot I was able to eliminate the haze and added an "Overlay" layer to make it more vivid.
The camera was level, and you can see that up here the Tychos Crater is pretty much due south. If you save and open the image full size you will see how the moon is not somewhere to live.
Ron

Ron, that is an incredible "shot", that one could go into the NASA handbook!!

If you go out and look at the moon tonight you will see it has some color and is not quite full.
The air is quite chilly up here tonight. 59 deg and windy.

Bird,
I love resale shops, but it's hard on my schedule to hit them when they are open. $81 is cheap compared to some of my leather outfits. But they are a "bit" tight right now.

I was walking to the mailbox this evening and heard gunshots to the East and a boom box to the West. I was thinking - This sounds like Houston.

Then from the West I saw a 50 horse trail ride coming up the road with music, and on the east, the neighbors were just reducing the feral hog population. Whew, what a relief. :us-texas:

What a wonderful last day of Summer in Texas. Almost everyone had rain yesterday and a cool front made its way through sending temperatures down 5 to 15 degrees.
The sky was clear the air crisp. Goodbye Summer 2013. Tomorrow's low will be close to the temperatures we have not seen since early June. Time to open the windows and hear the coyotes sing and fire up the Texas Fall/Winter thread.

What a wonderful last day of Summer in Texas.

You're sure right about that. I told my wife yesterday that the weather was PERFECT all day. 58 degrees to start with, but no breeze at all, so it didn't seem a bit too cool when I took the dog for a walk in the woods. It eventually got up to 82 degrees, but with a nice little northerly breeze by that time so it didn't seem a bit too hot.

Our Redbuds are just days away as well. then we have some other "understory" tree that has the white lavender smelling flowers, not wild plums though. This last rain sure started things in a new direction:thumbsup: Oaks even showing some good buds.

I was given a Cypress tree to put on the island (pond). It is about 4 feet tall and in a pot. It started budding out last week.

Spring break was last week here, this week in Oklahoma and next week in Arkansas. Only know that because of nieces and nephews:laughing:

Not to bad working in Dallas tonight, didnt feel cool until I rolled into the house, amazing how big a difference 60 miles makes.

The end of winter, really nice yesterday, but I still had to get out this morning and get the frost of the Queen's windshield, 35*.

Like FG I'm ready for Spring. It has been a long winter and pretty rough all across the country.

Got the ground ready for the garden, although it's still a little wet. After last years 2nd planting I'm trying to be patient. Can't wait to bring in those first tomatoes and go on the semi-vegetarian diet. I'm a Texan, though, and still have to have my BBQ, Tex-Mex, and CFS.

Also we're re-planting Grass around the house and that ground is ready. I'm going to try to get that done in about 10-15 days if the weather will co-operate.

Anyone else had to constantly run off a tame herd of cows while building a fence cuz they keep getting in the way, messing up string line etc.?

Charlie, y'all got that cold? What did you do last night, lite beer??:confused3:

Warming up quick, 70* and a high foretasted for 75* in DFW, so it will probably hit 80* here.

I am going to try carrots one more time, didn't do squat last year? Planted 2 Celebrity and 10 Roma's, do you folks that can, think 10 Roma's are enough for sauce canning?? Potatoes aren't doing much, Broccoli looks like it will be a loss after that freeze we had, but onions are doing good:thumbsup:
