So far over 1" of needed rain:thumbsup:
Rain??????????????? What's that??????????????? The last two weekends here, have been forecast with wet weekends. Both were dry.

We were out snake hunting tonight. My son shot one baby cotton mouth. My friend saw the momma the other day............over 4 foot long leaving a wake in the pond, headed to the island. Gonna weed eat that island tomorrow and plant 10 ducks there. So more snake hunting tomorrow night. We saw a lot of frogs tonight, so the ducks and snakes have some tasty treats out there.

A real nice thunderstorm moving thru now with a heavy enough rain to hear it on the roof top .. Winds are not bad .. Just a real good old fashion thunderstorm!!!

I can't remember the last time I saw one of those! They are wonderful! I hope that you get a good drenching from it! I'm still not sure if anyone will get enough rain to make horse hay around here. May still be having to cross the border for that, this summer.

Ended up with 0.4" in the gauge here. Hoping for more today!

Well Easter has come and gone and we got none of the rain that they promised. It was a beautiful day with the wife and me. Only a 30% chance today........we'll see.

Smoked a Ham and we also had Roasted Potatoes and Asparagus. After that it was time for a nap, as Denise didn't get home from Church Sat. nite till almost 2300 and I waited up for her......was past my bedtime. Then up again early for Easter Mass.

Going to Sulphur Springs today and I'll finish up getting the rest of the stuff to plant in the garden.

Came to Houston for work this week, :mur: Rained on us 3 separate times!

I hate it here, 1 hour to find a motel that would let us in in the am, then one that can fit my trailer. I can see Brandie and Scott have done absolutely "0" as far as crowd control down here! Finis here tonight, then to Porter for a bit, then hopefully in Conroe this time tomorrow!

Out to rain gauge this morning, measured .3in. Not bad, got that line of thunderstorms to go right over me. Trees and pasture liked that, goats sat in loafing barn and complained. That cold last week trashed the garden, replanting this week. Winter rye grasses just disappeared, and St Augustin is in full startup mode. Wild flowers are hanging in. All I can say about Houston these days is enjoy the food and restaurants, I'd put dinning in Houston up against any city in the world. Hope you all had a great San Jacinto day. HS.

Oh Wow, what a refreshing drink after mowing. Pink Lemonade - (no sugar, no red/pink dye)

One lemon (include zest)
One cup frozen red grapes (seedless)
One cup (unfrozen) red grapes
1/2 cup of water

blend well - ahhhh.

The alternate is a good "finished for the day" beverage, because I hate to mess up the ambiance by starting another sweat.

Hey, I leave the gate open so they will head back north where they came from, but no luck.
Heck.........Conroe is too crowded for me now.

Houston does have a very diverse number of fine dining, that's for sure. Mudbugs included!

Hello guys and gals. I just got home from another week in the hospital with pneumonia. I could not believe it when they told me my whte bloodcell count was down to 8%. In the middle of the night last Thur, my wife checked my temperature and it was 103.3. I'm told that adults do not often come back from anything higher. I was a real mess, so she called an ambulance.I spent the next 7 hours again in the Bowie ER before being transferred to Wichita Falls where I have been for the last Week. I've been stable for the last three days, so they let me come home this morning
, hopefully for good this time.
