Y'all should call in to work "wet", so rare, they will understand!!
The lighting shut down our internet service yesterday, just got back up. 4.5" Mon.-Tue. noon and it looks like more may be on the way:cool2:

I'll Have tomatoes and banana peppers before long.Yum!
I have good news and better news.
The good news is, it seems (for now) that our summer weather norms have returned. We got over 12 inches of rain in the last 20 days and now, the rain forecast is 60% for tomorrow, 70% for Sat., 40% for Sunday, then 20 % for a few days. The 60 and 70% forecast could include some rain training. Bad for fence building, but it's the weather I was raised with. I mean it always seems to rain on the weekends.
The better news is FG is alive and busy. I reached out to some of her business associates and two said they saw her this week and that she is very busy. I also got an email from FG with the subject line......I'm alive..........and the words.......Later! Thanks!................. in the email body. So I feel better now that she is alive and kickin'.
I will try to call her this weekend to see if she has slowed down some.

Sorry for the worry y'all. Been crazy busy. Between work, flying, garden (eating peppers already, and will be picking squash by this weekend), etc., I also picked up some tractor work maintaining a neighbor's pasture. Cool to get paid for running a tractor!!
As if that didn't have me chasing my hiney enough, a twister touched down less than 1/4 mile from me Tuesday. I have some large (10-12 inch diameter) limbs down, and have a leaky roof now, but others near me didn't fare so well. Less than 300 yards from me, a neighbor had the roof taken off of his barn and tractor shed. Less than 1/4 mile from me, a row of houses were damaged. One, a large tree was picked up and shoved thru the roof, and another had a tree thrown through a window. Power line poles along that road were twisted off at the ground and lines and transformers were on the ground. I thought it odd that the rain was being driven into the windows on all 4 sides of my house at the same time!
Sun was shining one minute, it clouded the next, and all heII broke loose a moment later. Rain and storm lasted 10 minutes, and rained 1/2 inch in that brief time. Then it was sunny and cool again.
And I have been offered a couple of flying jobs to add to the mix. Just what I need, another job!!!
Again, apologies, but I don't think you will reach me this weekend either, bindian! But I love this time of year. Spring took forever to arrive, but it has been a nice one, so far, with the exception of the wind and lack of rain.
