Sunday afternoon spent over 4 hours on tractor mowing - grass was as high as platform. Wife was on ZTR that whole time getting between trees. It's getting back to normal around here.

East of you in Thicket Tx

May have spoke too soon....

I've been there. It's dry on the top, and looks safe. Next thing you know you're stuck.

I bet the steering is second nature to her now. What blade height was she mowing? In the yard I'm at 2 1/4" and 4 1/2" outside. I'm not bogging down but have to mow 2 to 3 passes get all the grass.

she leaves it at 3.5 ... mowing in the trees so needs to be somewhat high for stepping over errant roots & twigs etc..... in the yard area we still have rocks that migrate up so 3.5 lets us miss those too.....We are very pleased with it --thank u. Lost a cap off one of the front wheel axle shafts -- need to get it replaced to keep grease clean.

If it ain't one thing, it's another; feast or famine, flood or drought. All winter, I had the prettiest green lawn we've ever had. Then the rains came; made it grow fast and in dire need of mowing when it was too wet to mow. And now . . . well, it's hot and dry. A lot of the grass died in some places, I assume from standing in puddles of water. But much of the rest of the lawn is looking a bit sickly. So I mowed yesterday, then late yesterday evening while the grass was dry, I spread Scotts Turf Builder, and today I'm watering the yard for the first time this year.
