I have watch a lot of the coverage of this shooting.
I have not seen it called a hate crime. I have not seen the shooter called a racist.
I have no doubt I would have seen that if it were a white shooter.
I have not seen an of the organizers come out and denounce or disavow the shooting, though community leaders have have said it is sad, regretful, and other disapproving words.
Black Lives Matters has not taken a stand against violence.

Here is a link. Greg Hopper is a Captain with Sugar Land, Texas Fire Department. He started the fund when Darin Goforth, a Harris County Deputy Sheriff , was assassinated from behind by a t*rd at a local gas station.

They've raised almost $65,000 firstly to help Deputy Goforth's family but now to help families of all first responders lost in action.
