Can any of our Texas crew give us an update on the bacon wrapped grilled quail at Woody's smokehouse in Centerville?

Haven't been by there in awhile and another thread about quail got me to thinking about it.

I was there in April and the end of July, but didn't check that out. Next time I go up to get more fish to stock, I will make sure to pick some out. My Thanksgiving bacon wrapped turkey sucked. But quail in bacon sound delicious.

My wife mentioned hearing thunder yesterday evening and I went out and watched about a 2" rain. That is drops that hit about 2" apart; nothing in my rain gauge.

Finally getting some rain. Woody's is about 22 miles north of me. Over the years have stopped there several times. Smells great. One day wife and I ate lunch there. It was just bland. For some good bbq try Mallett's right across from Bucee's.

I was sure hoping for some rain, and a mist most of the day finally put about .14" of water in the gauge.

Since Friday, we got 3.25 inches. It was all slow soaker stuff until steady hard rain last night. Large pond came up 2 feet. 2 more feet until full. Water is trickling in, so I am holding my breath on getting it full.

Between all the rain bands, on Sunday and Monday, I dug 350 feet of 12 inch wide ditch from the barn to the large pond for electric to the new pond aerator I have been wanting. Sunday was hard digging in the packed hard clay. Monday that same clay came out at just the right moisture content to make digging easy. That ditch took all the runoff from the driveway and half of it is now full. Gotta pump it out this afternoon. Thank GOD for the rain we did get! Never thought I would say Beta did good for anything.

I know we are getting ready to wind down the Texas Spring/Summer Thread but one thing I ran across that I'd like to share which might be beneficial to someone is this article. Since this is specific to Texas law I'm posting it here instead of the general threads.

Case Illustrates Importance of Bank Account Details - Texas Agriculture Law

Ive seen this situation come up before and in reading the article (not the courts opinion yet) I get the impression that the decedent really intended to convey the bank account to his son on his demise but the wording on the signature card wasn't sufficient to survive a legal challenge. Probates can be expensive, lengthly and stressful. Maybe this is something someone needs to check up on to be sure their wishes are going to be clear after they pass.
