I checked our smaller rain gauge today and it confirmed the bigger one. Right around 4.12 inches. More rain scheduled for tonight/Tuesday and Wed.
The thunderbumper was shaking the walls of the house.
We didn't need much rain. Our area is not in the drought zone. We just needed enough to water the grass and keep the dust on the roads and not above them. Not a gully washer that almost washed the garden away.

Where are Y'all located?

hugs, Brandi
We got a half inch between Austin and San Antonio out of that too.

In East Texas we got almost an inch.

In DFW right now, north of FW. Property we are retiring on is 45 minutes north of Tyler, or so. (6-8 months to go!)

Rain is just starting now. We should get an inch or more over the next 24 hours.

Your friend is falling for very incorrect Information. We have some media here who want to blame the Governor every time a light blinks somewhere in Texas. Six generators did go down and were quickly replaced. It affected very few people. Routine basically.

Your post really appears to be a trolling attempt in the Texas thread. It makes you look pretty bad. Your fake tears are not impressive.
Yes, and maybe the blame actually lays on the influx moving here that can't stand the heat and put their thermostats on 68, while they plug in their cars and blame the governor.

NWS shows Denton got .01", but here 10 miles south of the airport, my gauge got .02", but sure nothing like some of your got.🤣🤣 Of course rain is forecast for tomorrow.
Bird,
You still using that bottle cap as a rain gauge?

We got a 5/8th inch of rain around noon today with a little thrunderbumper moving real slow.

Skipped us again. We're just west of Bastrop.
That puts you at about 5 inches, nice.
I expect a Memorial day flood since we seem to get feast or famine.

looks like a good storm is dumping much needed rain in the Hill country to Brownwood.
Hope it brings us some.

Starting to rain pretty heavy here with some strong winds. Should last a while. Line stretches from Oklahoma to South Texas so lots of folks getting wet.

We have a good steady rain going now. Not sure how much total, but seems like we'll get 1"+ in this part of DFW.

🤣🤣🤣Brandi, I'd forgotten about that. But that bottle cap might not work now. Got the yard mowed yesterday morning and then rain started about noon. It isn't light enough yet this morning to see my gauge outside, and we're still getting a light rain, but the NWS shows 10 miles north of us having gotten more than an inch of rain and I'm sure we've gotten more than that.

Good rain last night with some thunder and lightning on the front edge. Rain gauge showed about 2" this AM.

We got another thunderstorm last night and it dumped about an inch of much needled rain.
I haven't even started my lawn mower yet this year--should have been mowing since February.
We average almost 36 inches of a year here and have only a couple of inches cumulative so far.

We got another 3/4 inch of rain this morning. Forecast was another 2 inches. So Yippee.

Can you put "west of Bastrop" in your profile. That way when we forget where you are located, we won't have to hunt thru old posts.

We have already mowed 4 times this year.

I was a member of the Cloudcroft FB group for years. They did a survey of the members and I believe it was 86% of them moved there full time from Texas. It would be very amusing to me to see just how many people living statewide in NM came there from Texas. :D
Jack,
I am so embarrassed.😞 I just realized it was you that posted this. How are Y'all doing?

Isn't 'west of Bastrop' just Austin? :)

Texas is so big I tend to forget there are quite a few miles between dots on the map.

West of Bastrop is the Austin airport and no towns between but some nice country areas.

I was joking. I've made the run east of Austin many times along 130. It is starting to grow with Tesla moving in, but yes, there is a lot of space between the two.
