Couldn’t see a section where this specifically fits but I wanted to thank Tx_Jim for the wealth of knowledge he has deposited on this and other forums. I’m not sure everyone realizes what a legacy is out there.
I picked up a very used JD400 a few years ago and have more than gotten my money’s worth from it but as with anything built 50 years ago, things go wrong, and rarely are they totally straight forward and by the book. I’ve rarely posted a question, if ever on it but Google has been very beneficial and more often than not directed me to posts answered by Jim. While most of the time my exact issue wasn’t answered, with enough reading about similar issues I’ve been able to put 2 and 2 together and solve the issue I’ve had... Most recently main pump cavitation that was caused by leakage past the bottom O-Ring in the steering gear solved by $5 worth of O-Rings.
Cheers, and thanks Jim.
