I obtained 4 sections of pallet racking from work and built 4 wood sheds out of them. I cut the uprights with one leg about a foot shorter than the other. Used 4 horizontal beams 2 on the bottom, 2 on the top and framed up a roof with scrap 2x4 and 2x6 lumber with 2 sheets of 10' pole barn steel for a roof. 2-48" x 48" pallets on the bottom for the wood to sit on and some fence wire inside the uprights to contain the wood and each one will hold over 1.5 cords.
I no longer cut wood when there are leaves on the trees unless it's storm cleanup. Fall and early spring is the time to do it. I am also learning how to kill and cut the undesireable species to prevent resprouting using the hack and squirt method. Another tactic I employ is to cut the stump as low as possible and stack the brush on top of it for burning in the fall or spring.
