I've never gave it much thought one way or another. They all rattle, some more than others and some exhibit more turbo whine than others too. Especially with a straight pipe.

How about the net?
Entirely off subject but what brand of net are you using? Thinking about switching to Kubota 52" over the edge this year.
“Over the edge” suits you well...lol
I don’t fall for gimmicks like that. With hay prices the way they are, 48” is all I’m paying for. What would you possibly gain?

If it's on Youtube or Dailymotion or something like that, all it takes is for you post the link on the forum and it will show the video player. It's usually like that at least.

If you're trying to upload your own video directly from your computer or phone to the forum, it doesn't work.

I wanna see (hear?) if that 8.3L sounds just like my little Kubota D640 3 cylinder on my homemade backhoe, as apparently, all diesels sound the same. :)
Now there is something new I learned. Had no idea you couldn’t load a video from puter to a website....
Bummer, but thanks!

You can always try to upload to Youtube and set it as Unlisted so only the people with the link (ie: in this forum) can access it.

The 6.7's also sound amazing. At least to me.

Sounds great. My 8.3L clip is short, but I think it sounds even better.
Had 2 different Cummins powered JCBs

Having a bad hair day?

52 over the edge net allows bales to weather much better when stored outside and it completely wraps the bale whereas 48" don't. Of course not all bailers can run 52. Actually, the price per roll is pretty close, only a couple bucks more. I thought you ran 52, guess not.

Just got a good price on Kubota 52" which I believe is Tama Net anyway.

Sorry to bother you....

Could have fooled me. Compression ignition all sounds basically the same muffled through an engine block, but then if and when you get it posted, I'll listen and give you an opinion.
gotta agree on disagreeing here. mostly all the older diesels have their own sound. the new ones not so much, in fact not much noise at all.
kind of sating all rock bands sound the same.
love listening to the old diesels. Favs... Old Jimmys, 7.3 Powerstrokes and from a mile away the old Cummins

The old ones sound different. I can tell if a the truck coming down the road is a cummins, powerstroke, detroit, etc.

The newer diesels with common rail and pilot injection, all sound the same to me.

Hey man, I was just following up on your “sometimes I worry about you” ...get some thicker skin.
No, I don’t run 52”. It’s a waste of money. I tried it a couple times and it gave me more net wrap headaches. I think it’s a gimmick to make bales look nicer for horsey gals.

you can't direct load videos to forum software, it's not just this site. Forums are not site hosts for media, they don't have the server space to allow it.
