I’ve been there a couple times between outages but have yet to make an outage. I do refueling.
It's a 2 outage year, so get some of you want it

The new B2650 backhoe joystick levers are on, you use the air compressor to install the black rubber knobs again. IMG_20180120_142614188_HDR.jpgIMG_20180120_142619740_HDR.jpgIMG_20180120_142625406_HDR.jpg

Wow. I had forgot about TLDS. I was an operating engineer and worked at the Fenoc plant in Perry. I worked for Holtec doing their first dry cask storage putting the spent fuel rods into cask and moving the casks out to the pad. I ran the VCT moving the 351000lb casks from the spent fuel pool to the pad. I stayed on an then worked for Westinghouse for a refuel outage. I ran the Polar crane in the reactor disassembling and assembling the reactor. On my shift I actually got to set the reactor head, a 125 ton lift. I was new to nuclear when I started and would never believe I would do something like that. I really enjoyed my experience with both projects and got to meet alot of new people from all over the country on both projects.

So today I was helping my brother in law change struts and brakes/callipers on his car, so I didn't get much done on the tractor. I did remove the stock tool box and replace it with a 50 Cal ammo box, but I need to weld an outrigger to the factory bracket because the ammo box is about twice the width and the bottom being unsupported allows it to flex (tin canning) and shake more than I like. Do I'm going to add a center brace that extends outward for a third bolt, and this should end the freedom of motion.

I'll revisit the seat coil spring upgrade at a later date, I'm not happy with the new springs as they are, so I'll work on that problem.IMG_20180121_140809033_HDR.jpgIMG_20180121_140800278.jpg

So , can anybody show me how this bucket indicator thing works? What does it look like when in use. I can't figure out how to set the darn thing. And what's with the zip tie holding up the attached lever? That (zip tie) looks awful fragile for a FEL that is in operation.

Cheers,
Mike

Good video Larry. I can稚 wait till
Mine gets here. I like watching your videos to really get a good look at the tractor and the bigger tires. Better than any picture.

Thanks Gents,

I just got home from watching the Eagles stomp the crap out of the Vikings. Congratulations Eagle fans.

Your picture and videos gave me the answer. My indicator does nothing because I have the standard bucket...i.e. there is no place to install that lower lever to the bucket. Why would the dealer deliver such a feature which is inoperable on this model? The mechanic simply zip tied the lower lever to get it out of the way

Cheers,
Mike
