My 1997 Ford F250 Powerstroke. When we bought an old abandoned farm in 1998 I did not have money for a tractor. So I used it like a tractor to clear land, drag harrows, haul stone, dirt, garbage, etc... It has done everything I have asked it to do even the absurd. Highest measured GVW = 12,500 lbs (twice hauling winter mix in 1999). Potentially the heaviest load was actually a load of timbers for rebuilding my barn, but I did not go over a scale. Heaviest load towed at speed 26,000 GCVW (fence posts). I even used it for 2 years skidding logs out of the woods to keep my family warm in the winter (20+ cord per year) when my little IH 350 Utility with tire chains could not go through the ice and snow (2000 & 2001).
It now has 206k miles and still going REALLY strong. My wife begged me to get a new truck this spring, but I told her that I needed a new tractor first. Besides getting rid of this truck would be like losing a friend. I plan to get 400k miles before I retire it to just farm duty.
I think that it is the best $1 or $27k I ever spent.
Second best is my 1969 Mustang. Guaranteed "attention" from the ladies when I was still a young single man. No that I am old, fat and bald it does me no good at all...and that is why it was bumped down to second.
