My #1 best would have to be my chevette. Does the same job as a Corvette and costs thousands less.

#2 would be my new MTD tractor. I sold all of my over priced equipment and I have never been happier.

Those holes in the waist are for the tongs they used to hold it while they were building it. The holes on the top are called the hardy, which is the square hole and the pritchel (sp?) which is the round hole. The hardy hole is for cut off tools, fullers and what ever else you want to build or buy and hold in one place while using. The pritchel is used for punching and hold downs.

My 1997 Ford F250 Powerstroke. When we bought an old abandoned farm in 1998 I did not have money for a tractor. So I used it like a tractor to clear land, drag harrows, haul stone, dirt, garbage, etc... It has done everything I have asked it to do even the absurd. Highest measured GVW = 12,500 lbs (twice hauling winter mix in 1999). Potentially the heaviest load was actually a load of timbers for rebuilding my barn, but I did not go over a scale. Heaviest load towed at speed 26,000 GCVW (fence posts). I even used it for 2 years skidding logs out of the woods to keep my family warm in the winter (20+ cord per year) when my little IH 350 Utility with tire chains could not go through the ice and snow (2000 & 2001).

It now has 206k miles and still going REALLY strong. My wife begged me to get a new truck this spring, but I told her that I needed a new tractor first. Besides getting rid of this truck would be like losing a friend. I plan to get 400k miles before I retire it to just farm duty.

I think that it is the best $1 or $27k I ever spent.

Second best is my 1969 Mustang. Guaranteed "attention" from the ladies when I was still a young single man. No that I am old, fat and bald it does me no good at all...and that is why it was bumped down to second.

I had a 1997 F350 powerchoke, Glad I sold it. Never buy a Ford or American car/auto again.

So far the best trouble free auto I had had is my Lexus. In 3 years it has been in the shop 81.8% LESS then my F350 when I had it with the same time line.

Have to agree on the Lexus. Worked for them for 5 years, experienced all their vehicles, never had a problem with any. owned mine for 5 years now - no problems - nothing. My folks owned theirs for about 6 years before they passed on - no problems - none. Can't say the same for any of the other vehicles I've owned, domestic or imported..........

My property -- it's value increases yearly, and no one appears to be making any more land.
