I have 27" tires on my XUV and they do not rub. It has a 2" lift.

i'm talking about stock utv's when i had my lift kit in they didn't rub at all. but i took it out. right now i just have a 3/8 inch lift in it so it helps out on the rubbing but it still rubs but not that bad hardly noticable.. but anyway MY BABY BACK RUNNING AGAIN!!!!!!! i put the stater back on with the makshift spings and it fired right up. so i'n gonna just go and order me a brush kit and when it comes in i'm gonna just put the new brushes in and seal up the starter as best i can. this one lasted 3 almost4 years with alot of under water mud riding so i can't really complain if i get another 4 years out of the next set of brushs it will be good to go.

hum??? man jd makes some money man they say they couldn't just order the brushes and springs they say they had to order the whole end cap assembly total cost with over night shipping 81.00 wow . i almost could have got a new starter for that much.being i took mine down and cleaned it up and seen that it was in great shape other that the brushs i went ahead and just ordered it.gonna go and do a good seal up job on it when i reainstall it this time though plus i'm putting that eletrical grease on all my conection'i'm gonna unplug every thing one at a time and wire brush it themn hit it with clp and then give it a good coat od eletrical lube.i can't see why j.d whould put a starter on something and leave two big wholes on the bottom of the starter thats a breakdown waiting to happen.so whether if you ride in the mud and you don't start the engine under water you will still get muddy water inside the starter no matter what. i think most other utvs have a sealed up starter .oh well the more i dig the more i find .lol

i lookked up on the a other site and they hade a kawasaki starter for a mule the same engine as mine but the starte ws sealed wilt o- rings???? i mean this thing was sealed up air tite why don't dohn deere do the same? the aterter looked a little diferent but t should fit right same motor so same trans so whats up? i came across some stoff at the stor an it a spray or brush is a roll on or brush on eletrical conection jiont sealant i'm thinkin of putting it onall my connections plus i'm gonna spray the complete starter i'm gonna try to seal off the fly wheel cover too i don't know why they left it open like that and i'm gonna go for a flatbed made out of aluminum my new plans are to still put it up for sale but do the work on it but if it don't sell i'm gonna get me a new brand more power beter in the mud and keep the hpx for the heavy stuff.i would go with polaris but they got the belt issues and i don;t wanna get stranded atleast with my hpx when the belt goes bad it just slips it don't desinegrate and from the reading and i do alot they go out any where from 7 hours to 250 hour.might look into them terex they have a kawasaki engine too the one on the hpx never let me down or maybe the new honda now thats a realy big thought. them hondas are gonna have what 675cc th's a nice size engine.the hondas would be my first choice to look at they are some reliable running machines . well my parts are gonna be in today (better be i paid for over night frieght) i'll post a pic or two of the old and the new.

I drove a minivan into a puddle (was not all that deep!) and it sucked in some water and broke a connecting rod and punched a hole in the top of one of the pistons (V-6). I understand that the Kawasaki Mule has the intake on the top of the roll bar. That should help with this sort of situation.
