A couple of years ago I was having a lot of trouble with gout so my rheumatologist put me on an infusion product called Krystexxa which worked wonders at removing the uric acid in me. I didn't ask but he said Medicare will cover it. After 8 months of this treatment I happened to be looking at the mymadicare.com web site to check up on a different doc I was seeing and the page that came up showed a charge for $20,000. I was stunned when I found that it was for this gout infusion. I called the doc's office and cancelled my next appt. and asked for an appt. with the doc. All he had to say is that all these new drugs are expensive, to which I replied this is not expensive, it's obscene. He then put me on a drug that costs me $10.00 per month and does the same thing as the $20,000 per month infusion. Don't trust your doc when he says your insurance will cover it, push him or her to tell you the whole story.

Well there is the answer to the US illegal immigration issues. We can simply bus the 500,000+ illegals that want to violate our immigration laws every year to Canada and they will welcome them with open arms. Problem solved.

USA medical cost are about double other developed countries mainly because of your liability laws anything medical related needs huge insurance cover which needs to be paid by somebody if you had liability laws more in line with the rest of the world it would half your cost and it is not as if the rest of the world has worse outcomes without the ability to sue for every well intended action that in hindsight didn't work out well as a New Zealander travel insurance is quoted in two brackets US travel and the rest of the world the US is about double the price of the other

Note that the reason for seperating the children at the border the was due to people pretending to be a child's parents either to bring them across, or to provide cover (parent with kids is less likely to be a drug dealer).
The seperation was due to the risk of a unrelated adult (and possibly a "bad guy") being housed together with a underage person that they might harm.
