this is funny to read.
i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. there is nearly 4 million MTZ-3 chassis tractors made (70-90hp....its the one everyone knows) thats not counting the MTZ-2 chassis the cased out to another factory to keep building in kharkov?! (the belarus 611), and the MTZ-1......that was built post WWII after the factory was built in Minsk (not russia), tooling experience that factory had previously was with IHC tooling, ie the universal (farmal f-12 ish?) etc. also i don't think anyone counted the licence builds that happened between communist countries with China back in the day
other tractors? per model i am not 100% sure, i am sure your americans will like to know the 4020 was pretty popular. SAME's explorer has been there most popular model, and they have built over 75000 of those apparently, i think the fiat 640 got built in similar numbers (oliver 1465, NH TT grandfather). MF135, T20, etc, all built in a major scale! if you get more specific and start talking about componentary, the IVECO 3908 engine had a life of over 40 years in fiat/NH/CNH tractors, trans components in the Farmall A, C and U (late models) have had a production live of 30 years in FIAT heritage (and Allis 6060's) machines
basically what got exported from here to other developing countries gives a indication on of some of the most popular and common tractors in the world, Ford 4000, 5000, 4610, 5610, 6600, 6610, 7000,7600, MF 135, 165, 175,178, 188, belarus 920 etc, MF 200 and 300 series, ....they all left NZ, this is partly why they are cheap to work on and get parts for........somewhere in the world they are still a front line machine doing 1500 hours a year
