Cherokee did well on Rubicon. One of my favorites was about 12 years ago. Here is this guy in a bone stock black Cherokee. He had a cd playing, and was drinking a Corona with lime. He was watching his buddies have the hardest time make it over and around some rocks in thier Toy pickups. They were bouncing and flinging mud. This guy had hardly a spec of mud on his rig. I just laughed! this was a bit past little sluice box, just before you drop down ont to the sdlabs on the way to Buck Island. I had bopped through the same spot in my old CJ5 the afternoon before /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That would be true and the Liberty has run the Rubicon. That Rescue looks as if it would have no problem at all. I understand Jeep may be building some vehicles in the future that are not "trail rated". I think that is a mistake to blur your image and become generic like everyone else. Jeep is always showing cool concepts but none off them ever come to market.
The Cherokee, it had it's good points, it is probably a vehicle well past it's prime. Remember way back when it first came out it was still AMC Jeep and it had some abomination of a GM engine it that would keep running all day after you turned the key off, clackity--cough--spit--kachunka--chunka---rattle--chunk--spit kinda goings on all while emitting some rather foul smells /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.
I miss AMC, the government could save Chrysler but not AMC--why. Their cars were actually very sturdy and different and they did build the all time ugliest car the Pacer /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif and the AMX which was pretty neat /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Then they teamed up with Renault and gave us the Alliance, remember that. J

Just saw the new Jeep on Tech TV, Tech Live. That is a big vehicle, easily competing against the Hummer. It even has a camera mounted underneath by the skidplate to see what you are crawling over. They will run this show again, probably today. They had a new Ford Bronco model they showed and will possibly come out with. If you can, catch this show as they had several other new SUVs and trucks they were displaying from the different companies. If you can't get the channel here is a link to the new Jeep.

I'm sure it's been discussed, but the current Hummer isn't anything at all like it's original, military brother. This jeep looks like an actual rugged vehicle...Just, please don't strech it into a limo !!!

This "Rescue" I'm sure can run Rubicon, a lot of vehicles can. The Jeep CJ/YJ runs it easiest though, since they are short, and narrow.

The old AMX's... There's some road course memories. AMX's, Z28's, Boss 302 Mustangs, AAR Cuda's. It is a shame the Cuda didn't see more factory support over a longer time. They even did it with a solid rear axle /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Imagine those with IRS!

Those new Toyota's and the other "box car" easily match the PAcer for rear-end ugly /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
