Weathers gonna be nice out this week. You all need to spend some more time outside.

In the final days before the deadline to guess a time, the 7-day moving average for posts per day was hovering around 960-970....so I made my prediction based on 975 ppd.

the 7-day moving average has now crept up to almost 1100ppd.

Not doing me any favors. Heck, dont even know why I am posting this....as it is hurting me even more:mur:

Maybe I should go back and delete several hundred of my old posts:laughing:

So, what's the target date by your calculations?

As I recall at prior round numbers, the rate of posting seemed to accelerate as we got close to the round number. Plus, I was just getting ready to post 25,000 "thumbs up" :thumbsup: posts to improve my odds of winning.

I will delete this in a few hours but the MAIN problem with a bunch of this is the last rule, which states: "We will be going by 5,000,000 active posts on the forum, not post ID numbers (deleted posts excluded)"

This forum right now has 4,960,235 posts but we don't know the number of active, it may only be 4.8M active posts right now!!! (in which case, I'm leaving this post here!!!)

The number on the main page is the number of active posts. The number at the end of the link by the post number (#155 in your case, the link is: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/news-feedback/389359-official-5-000-000th-post-post4997727.html#post4997727 with the bolded number being the post ID. Currently, by my calculations, the post with post ID 5,037,488 will be the 5 millionth active post.
Here is my guess on the closest people to the date and the date that they guessed (buckeyefarmer, Wagtail and prichard are the closest by my count when I figure in the fudge factor for people posting like crazy in the last few hours):
