I see from page 7 that the Mud Slinging has started. All I can say that when you buy a Plasma Cutter, Get the Largest and Newest you can afford. If it turns out to be a Miller, Hypertherm or ESAB, You can always get a little more Snort out of it by Retro Fitting it with a TD 1 Torch. It's all the craze these days.:thumbsup:

Seriously, if a person is deciding between a Miller, HT, TD, ESAB, etc... at the end of the day they will have an OK machine. Its not like we're comparing a HyperTherm and a Harbor Freight unit.

Yomax, I've been misquoted. He builds the automated cutting machines for plasma and oxy/fuel. He didn't leave to work for another manufacturer, he's working for himself.
No mud here, either. TD's a fine product, just not everyone's choice.

You must be either talking about Steve or Al....I won't say their last names! One is with Tracker CNC, the other is with Retro-Systems, both were long term T-D guys.

I have a 25 amp TD with a carry handle I got for body work and light jobs 15-20 years ago and its been just excellent, the consumables are easy to get not cheap but that's all I have ever done with mine.

I do have clean dry air since I do some paint and body and that's a must they tell me anyway.

I cant comment on Miller however I bought mine from a Miller dealer and at the time they recommended the TD over theirs so that's what I did. ymmv
