The starter fluid tire trick works!

I've done it a few times but it scares the snit out of me every time. Watched two guys try to reseat a 44" bogger on a mud truck about 10 years ago, one of them ended up in the hospital with burns to his face and neck. Lucky he didnt lose his eyes. Be careful.

I have done it more times than I care to remember on truck and tractor tires. I will never forget late one night in the shop mounting a new set of 44 on 16" bar wheels.

When they pop on, they dang near had 30 psi in them

It's funny that you did that today, I was just up getting my riding lawn mower ready and one of its tires was flat and off the rim from sitting all winter. First thing I did was go looking for some starting fluid, but it is all still stashed away in the bacement to keep from freezing in the winter. So I tried to used the ratchet strap trick but there was too much deformation from sitting all winter. I ended up getting it to seat by packing grease in the rim on the bad spot while using the ratchet strap.

I cheat ,I have an old coats 10/10 tire machine with a bead blaster . I have done the starter fluid back in the day with 44's on a cj7 jeep . It was a experience

I wasted an entire evening one time going through YouTube watching videos of seating beads this way. Some were perfect. The worst I remember is blowing the entire front end off a guy's pickup. Reminded me of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when Paul Newman blew up a safe and the money flew over an acre. "Think you used enough dynamite there, Butch?"

I've witnessed this several times 4 wheeling. It's very entertaining to see a bunch of red neck guys gathered around each offering advice but only one brave enough to be "the guy".
