Strange as it sounds - I have somewhat the same problem, Jstpssng. My ten-way drivers seat is adjusted to full height - upward. I have to bend my head pretty much to squeeze in and get in the seat.

More investigation is required. There is a feature where the seat "defaults" to a preset position. This "preset" can be the lowest position. Then when you are in the seat - press a button and it will adjust to the "driving position".

If I were in a real big hurry - the top of the doorsill would almost take my head off. More time with the "features" is in order. Some vehicles are simply designed for folks more limber than I am.

This spring is far and away the wettest I have ever experienced in the 38 years down here. Thank God - it's still too cold for the mosquitos. But things better start drying out pretty soon. Warmer WX is on its way and I haven't seen hide nor hair of the cliff swallows( Mother Nature's mosquito cure ).

Time will tell - what this very wet spring will do for the ticks. They are due to be here soon, also.

There is the driver memory settings (tied to your key fob), which you set from the #1 and #2 button on the side of your seat and the feature you are describing is the Easy-Exit seat, where it slides back and down away from the steering column for you to slide on out.

Well, now see - you have it all figured out. I have printed out that page from the Op Manual pdf. It's exactly as you say. With page in hand I shall venture out and figure this out. Thanks for the info, coldsteelva.

I might just open the moon roof. I case it pulls a James Bond on me. :dance1:

^^^^^^
 You're previous comment got me trying to remember which old cartoon character got ejected through the roof when he displeased his boss. "Secret Squirrel", perhaps?

I would guess that's how it's spelled when it comes from the southern regions. A kindred spirit.

Do your pedals adjust? you might be able to move them closer/farther and then a lower seat position? Dunno....we're all built different shapes/sizes. I notice in our vehicles, mrs cmv is much shorter than i am, so she defaults to seat forward & high. I tend to be more comfortable with seat low & back - even in small vehicles like my 4 series or her Elantra. But she can just push the button to bring the pedals closer and be comfortable in the F150 without [too much] seat adjustment from where I'd have it.

"Do the pedals adjust". Yes - a switch on the side of the steering column. I like having the seat as high as possible. I can see the ground closer to the front bumper. Low & laid back tends to make me sleepy. I will go low & laid way back for those short naps as I travel.

I think I have found Nirvana. A gentile massaging pad for the seat back - the seat back laid way back - the seat heat turned on. Gentle south seas music on the stereo. Any & all aspects of any notification system(s) in the OFF position. I'm getting sleepy.

Really nice day - hit 62 with bright sunshine. I washed the truck. Standing on the rear door sill and with my long handle brush I was able to wash the roof.

I have waxed the bed - that was easy.

Now the BIG question for all with large trucks. How in the world do you get to and wax the roof and the hood?

I know for a fact that my Little Giant will get me up there. Leaning over far enough to get to the center of either will result in a FALL.

I can stand on the door sill and get pretty much to the center of the roof. Between that (at all 4 doors) and standing in the bed I'm able to cover it well enough. It's the roof... I'm not going to fret over things if I can't wax all the way to the very center.
