I wanted to post a story of my trip to Power Trac. The original thread has a lot of additional posts in it, (which was fine), but I would like to be able to post the complete story with pics in this thread. Hopefully, you will enjoy the pics and information.
I had been looking around for something that could do more than my Ventrac 4200 when it came to digging, and other FEL type of jobs around the yard. I was at the point where I could afford to invest in one additional attachment and decided to check out other options.
That led me to TBN and a passionate group of PT owners. The more I read, the more I wanted to lear about this little giant. A trip to MossRoad's web site inticed me more. I finally posted some questions on TBN and quickly received many replies.
My biggest concern was not losing the slope mowing capability that I had come to enjoy with my 4200. I did not expect it to mow 30 degrees, but 15+ would be nice...
I made come contacts through the TBN conversations, and accepted an invitation to try out a 425 that was located only 15 minutes from my house, what luck!
After about an hour on the little giant, I was hooked!
After selling my Ventrac and several conversations with Scott Gentry and Terry Estep, asking a lot of "newbe" type of questions, I decided to take the trip to Tazwell Virginia.
