OK get down to pricing. I have a wad of Ben Franklin's tucked away to pay for a good Grapple but the wicked version can't be too much higher then what I can get locally and painted green. It doesn't have to be cheaper, just worth the difference.

There's no doubt it'll be worth it! I'll share some pricing details as soon as possible!
In the meantime, i'll share more pics during the build.

Ted stayed true to the original Wicked Grapple design here, so it looks very familiar.

We'll offer this new grapple in 52" and 73".
42.5" wide opening is accomplished by using 2.5 x 10 cylinders.


52" Introductory Price is $2,490.00
73" Introductory Price is $2,631.00

Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach will be standard.
Special build fee for the JD 400/500 style carrier and Global Carrier is $125 additional.

i don't know about the new one there building but I have a 60 inch double clamp wicked root grapple and have used and abused it with no damage if the new version is set up to open wider and had jic fittings instead of pipe it will be outstanding.

I'm glad to hear that you're pleased with your Wicked Grapple. The new models do open wider; 42" vs. 37".

JIC fittings would actually be quicker and easier for us to use, but we choose not to use them because of the following reasons.
We're not using pipe fittings because they are cheaper.
Pipe fittings are much more labor intensive for us because the threads have to be sealed and tightened into a tapered hole. JIC fittings are much easier to attach, but they weigh half as much as pipe fittings and are easier to damage.
If a breakdown happens on a weekend, you can obtain pipe fittings at almost any hardware or automotive store.

The first 73" should be complete by Monday followed by photos and a video on our website later in the week.
We can take orders now for the 52", and lead time will be 2 weeks +/-.
I do not have a definite weight for it yet, but if the 73" is between 600-650, the 52 should be roughly 550.
