Also, notice how the side of the vertical quick attach bracket is angled, so it extends beyond the tine that you're talking about.

Does anyone else here see where i'm coming from?

We're talking maybe 2" difference on each side.

Yep Travis, I agree with you.

xtn, buy it, try it, if it doesn't do what you want it to, take a torch and cut off the outboard tines.

I apologize for being difficult. I do see where you're coming from. This is really stupid, but honestly my OCD is just bothering me about the uneven tine spacing. My brain wants it to be just six evenly spaced lower times. Okay? I know it's stupid. Believe me, I know it's stupid. My wife reminds me all the time!

I'm a great advocate for narrow over wide grapples but honestly the difference between a 48" and 54" is bupkis. I'd get the 54" without a second thought if it had an advantage (such as opening size) over the 50" or a 48". If my loader max lift was less than 1200lbs or so I might be on the fence regarding the very lightweight vs 54" but with a loader with more capacity than that I'd go for the greater opening size and never give it another thought.

And, if anybody just "has to have" a 48" with six evenly spaced tines and wouldn't mind a well used ten year old battle scarred but fully functional Millonzi, give me a holler. I'd be happy to sell you one and will then turn around and buy the EA 54 the same day.

Fine. I'll take a 54". Is now the appropriate time for the phrase, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

ALAS!! Something I CAN do!
I guess I shouldn't have bragged about not having to use much persuasion in an earlier post!

Dang, there goes your chance for a new grapple doc.

Yeah, maybe I should have been more subtle.

I don't understand why you would want a 54" wide instead of your 48" and a 37" opening instead of your 47"? anyway. You'd be losing capacity along with the battle scars. The EA is nice, but you have the cat's meow, better than EA.

I'm actually quite happy with my little Millonzi 48. It does everything I ask and tolerates rough handling. I do think the design and construction of the EA is superior though. Mine was designed and built prior to CAD and laser cutters. Nothing wrong with that but the EA is pretty clearly better engineered. For example, the top lid is far stronger than mine and the cutouts in the lower tines decrease weight. Kind of similar to comparing a reliable old tractor to a new higher performance and snazzier version. Both are capable machines that can get the job done. But, who wouldn't lust after the sexy new model?
