Put in a few hours clearing logging debris this past weekend and was very impressed with the 60" single lid grapple. I put it through some hard paces and had no real issues. I did have to adjust my bottom cylinder clevis out a few turns after initial strenuous use so that the lid would close tight, but that was it. Very easy to do and it looks like about half of the shaft threading is still inside the clevis, so hopefully that will maintain max strength.
I'm going to have to pace myself and be patient as it would be very easy to spend all day and all night moving brush and dead-fall around into piles for burning or mulching, especially for an OCD guy like me! Overall very pleased so far, and I don't think one man would have been able to do the work I did without a grapple, at least in the amount of time I had.
I found that this was the best way to move the larger logs out of the tight wooded spaces. (The hauls like this were likely where the air space was worked out of the cylinder.)

Two quick root grubbing passes and a love tap up high helped get this 8" dead tree uprooted for moving to the burn pile. (The top of tree that fell off is just to the left and I grabbed it with this stump and trunk in the same run just after this picture was taken.)
