Does it fit the Z122? If so, that might be next. My neighbor's grass is really uneven.

Uneven grass? How can that be?:laughing: Maybe he has septic lines and it grows faster over them. :D
Why don't you order one of these and let us know. With Amazon you can have them pick it back up at your door if it doesn't fit/work for you (us)...........MAYBE NOT SINCE THIS IS SHIPPED FROM SELLING COMPANY INSTEAD OF AMAZON WAREHOUSE........... My "yard/ground" is very uneven :D so I'd like to have one if it works. I think one of these said it doesn't spring/bounce up and down only a slight back and forth. Get "us" one and try it.
The seat on the Fs have the rider weight adjustable and spring one and it helps on the rough spots.
Here's another one for a bit less money. Amazon.com: Suspension Only: Automotive

Yeah JT, I figured someone would call me out on poor choice of words. :ashamed: How about, 'abrupt undulations in the terrain'?

I'm a convinced F owner that they are the best mowing machine made........resisted Zs until a few weeks ago...Now.......Might would trade my current F2680e 72" with 150 hours under 50 hours side discharge deck to a bigger Kubota diesel Z because the F is fast and grand but a Z with a big enough deck, maybe 60" might do better around the rental units.
Now do you understand? I don't LOVE em but I do LIKE em. Same for cars and trucks. They are all for sale or trade except for the F3080 72" RD deck.

Local dealer dropped off a kubota Z725KH 60" deck this week so I could try it for a day. I ran it for about 4 hrs and ended up loving it, it really performed great on the sloped parts of my yard which I was concerned about. Of course these areas were dry and I understand moisture is a different story. Having never owned a ZT before I decided to try a couple more out before going with the Kubota. I drove a JD930M this morning and did not feel as secure on the hills as I did on the kubota and did not like the hand brake on JD vs the foot brake on the kubota . I felt like I was sitting higher on the JD which might be why I felt less comfortable on it. Both are priced similarly. I then went to check out the Hustlers, they did not have any super Zs to try but did drive a fast track SD and drove nice but neither rode as nice as the kubota in my opinion. The hustler was a little less HP than the other 2 (1.5k less) but seemed solid. Didn't care for the deck height adjustment and couldn't really try any hills as all was available was a small drainage ditch. Kubota had the most comfortable seat (which is probably why I liked the ride better) although the other two had nice armrest angle adjustment option that I don't think the kubota has, but the kubota armrests were much softer. The hustler had the best fuel gauge and the JD had the worst (the old cap float type). None of the fuel tanks seemed to have any baffles so the you would have to go slow/stop and level out to get a accurate reading. I was initially interested in the Kubota ZD326 because I have a diesel storage tank already here for my 5740 but think I am going to wait and possibly get one down the road if they ever redesign them closer to the ground and a less cheesy looking platform.

At this point I think I am going to go with the kubota Z726KW (if you didn't see that coming), the Kawasaki on my X540 has been good to me. Not a kholer fan but really just a preference not bashing them. Here are a few pics to add, sorry for rambling on but maybe it will help someone or some can add something to help me?

Thanks,
Matt

Wet grass is a different story on my little Z turn. I'm not nearly as confident and it slips much sooner on the slopes. One complaint is the deck lift pedal doesn't have a lock position and it get tiring holding down the pedal for more than a few seconds. I guess I'm lazy. Might need to look at a mod to add this feature.

But don't take me wrong. Still absolutely loving it! Just thinking about mods now.

Okay... wasn't sure whether to post this under the 'seat time' thread or this one. Decided to tackle an area that hadn't been touched going on at least a third year I think. 2 and half foot tall grass (and not using a fisherman's ruler ), 3/4in blackberry trunks, and alder tree saplings that would kill a commercial seedeater. I decided to plow through this area... I have the mulching kit/blades installed and took it slow. Dang that was fun!!! It chewed up everything I drove over... and I mean 'chewed'! Now I have to admit, I haven't looked under at the blades after the bloodshed, but the power was impressive!

Okay... was at my dealer today on other matters and asked about the optional weight kit that supposedly is available for the Z122. What I found out is that the weight kit/assy isn't really an option (on its own) but comes with the bagger kit to help offset the extra weight of bag and grass. Purchasing it on its own piece meal is possible but it will cost over $400! So, it looks like I will fab my own that picks up the same attachment holes already on the front of foot deck. You can see the two holes for carriage bolts in the first pic just above this post.

Wife was mowing Saturday. She came in all shook up. She's decided to put rods with flags on the front wheels that will show her how high the ROPS is.
She caught the ROPS on a tree limb and it stood up on her before falling back to earth. I had to go up the hill and bring it back to the garage. She had it up against the tree on the side that used to have a new undamaged decal. Oh well, guess someone had to do the first scratch.:D
