Then and Now

In our continuing effort to 'Clean and Organize' we came across pictures of my Grandmother (as a child-She is third from left) growing up in the house we now take care of on our family's farm. We estimate from her age in the photo, that the picture was taken in the summer of 1900. Also in the picture is my Great Grandfather, William Little (sitting by tree) and his Wife Margaret (arms crossed) and their four children.

And now a re-do taken 100 years later with the same house in the background (locust tree fell sometime in the 1930's) with me and my family assuming the position and poses.

Great looking family and it is great to have photographs to looks back on. I am sure that your grandchildren will enjoy looking back at your photo some day.

I'm always outnumbered (even the two Labs are girls!). And always kept busy. As far as veto power. . . . .they did let me get the Kubota. . . . .

I guess I'll be sittin on the front porch soon waitin' for the boys with my shotgun!

Great photos, Steve./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I have 100's of photos of my family just before and around the turn of the century and I notice some similarities to your family. In the old photos, the people don't smile much. Do you think it's because they didn't like all the fiddling and fooling around, and time it took to get their picture taken? Your family, on the other hand, looks bright, cheerful, and like they are having a good time. /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif
