Trump has got to win if she win might as well kiss your guns good by and more freedoms.
Too many folks misunderstand and overestimate the role and powers of the president. Congress makes laws. Supreme court assures the laws are consistent with the Constitution. President (well, his lackeys) executes what the law authorizes, within the Congressionally-authorized budget.
Sure, the president has influence and a certain amount of leeway (interpretation room), and can veto a law, subject to Congressional override. However, who controls Congress (and the prevailing mood/bent of the Supreme Court!) actually matters more for how changes are made in the laws of the land than who is the President.
How sad is it that a Canadian has a better understanding of the American government than the average voter.
