Re: They\'re at it again!

I love it when you let them know of the problem, and they give you the proverbial 'hand'.. they don't want to hear it. Or they just 'pass' along the same bad info they were given.

I bought my '51 IH cub.. turned out it was a '66 IH cub.. owner was adamant that they owned it 20 ys.. and it was a 51...dad had it.. etc.. Though serial number leaves no room for question...

Re: They\'re at it again!

Hinomoto did build tractors for MF before Iseki. 205, 210.220, 1010, 1020, 1030, 1035, 1040 are some models that come to mind.

Re: They\'re at it again!

I have a YM2200 listed on eBay right now and I have described it as built in the 70's with over 1000 hours. No bids yet at $2500, but at least it is an honest listing, plus you smart tractorbynet guys won't have to email me to straighten me out! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Re: They\'re at it again!

I was reading on several web sites that hino did make some models for Massey. I also read that Massey was manufactured in about a dozen places around the world--some by AGCO and some under license. Hinomoto, according to these sites did make some tractors for Massey. I guess the implication on ebay is that Hinomoto did and still does make tractors for MF. Apparently they did at one point make some, but not in the last 10 years. Yanmar did fully make some Deer models in the past, but not many (any?) now. They certainly make the engines, but not the full tractor. Just as those who say Deer owns Yanmar, or you can get parts for your Yanmar at a JD dealership, it is deceptive.

I guess the ebay post would be truthful if it said that in these years (whatever they were) made these (whichever they are) models. Deceptive advertising is often not total fabrication, it stretches the truth to some extent to try to get you to buy the product.

Re: They\'re at it again!

I was talking to a japanese friend the other day about tractors. He said that Kubota has purchased Hinomoto,
and we may see something in the future out of that deal.
My neighbor bought a massey the other day, and came by to show it to me,
He was very proud that it was made in the USA. until I showed him the metal tag on the frame , made in japan
He was floored and wanted to return the machine !! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Oh well If you cant beat them, JOIN THEM !

Re: They\'re at it again!

I believe the 790 and 990 are still built by Yanmar. The 41oo was built by Yanmar but I don't know about the newer 4110 and 4115.

Re: They\'re at it again!

Right now there's a 1986 Iseki TS1610F with 4.9 hours!! Item number is 2571448201. Wonder how they got the hour meter to read 4.9? It's a 4 place OEM meter.

Re: They\'re at it again!

The guy has to know he is de-frauding buyers by claiming JD makes that tractor..

Also.. that is a big yannie for a semingly small rotary cutter..? opinions? Doesn't look heavy duty to me... any idea of a brand...

Re: They\'re at it again!

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I think that a lot of the sellers are clueless. They buy the tractors from a distributer, then attempt to resell them at a profit. Earlier this week an ebay auction had a YM1500 with a "rebuilt water pump." I sent seller an email advising that 1500's do not have water pumps. His response was: "The engine is water-cooled, therefore it must have a water pump."

Re: They\'re at it again!

I just saw 2 Hinomotos on ebay that are almost new and have the same engine as Mitsubishi! It gets funnier all the time.

Re: They\'re at it again!

Actually that model was built by Mitsubishi before Case IH was bought by New Holland/Fiat. The new Case IH DX series use Shibaura engines but are built over here just as the NH TC Boomer series are.

Guess he must be new to tractors.... heck JD was using thermosyphon systems in what 39?

So by his reasoning.. an air cooled engine must have an air pump? Guess he's never seen a Deutz.. etc..

I love it when people wane stupid in the face of the cold hard facts.

Re: They\'re at it again!

I was looking around there today, found out in one of the Ebay listings that CASE tractors are made by Mistusbishi???

I believe Mistubishi makes the CUTS for Cub Cadet, and both NH and CASE are made by Shiburu (sp?)./forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I also saw 2 used Yanmar tractors with UNDER 10 hours each on them. One had 9.7 hours, the other had 9.3 hours. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: They\'re at it again!

The older Case IH compacts were built by Mitsubishi. The new DX line has Shibaura engines in them.

Re: They\'re at it again!

Are we sure the new Case/IH DX's will have a Shibaura engine? Has anyone seen one, or literture stating so??
Chuck M.
Or should I say Farmall's

Re: They\'re at it again!

I have seen one and sat on one. The New Holland Dealer told me they use the Shibaura engines in the new Boomer line of compacts, the Case IH DX series are almost identical to the Boomers, and New Holland and Case are both owned by Fiat. I am using a little deductive reasoning to come to my conclusion that the Cases have Shibaura engines as well. As for literature saying so. No American brand name tractor is going to put in their brochure that the tractor has a Japanese engine. On the Farmalls, the CaseIH dealer told me that the ones with Farmall on them would be the smallest of the DX line.
