Things that annoy me

I've had this happen to me a couple of times, usually in Government Offices.

CASH NOT ACCEPTED.

In this case, Visa was not accepted either.
And I typically don't carry check blanks with me.
And, of course, I was 100 miles from home

People who drive under the speed limit on the highway but then exceed the speed limit when you finally get a passing lane going uphill. Makes me VERY irate!!

I got lots of "bars"....
And the message EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY.

I've had that happen to me before, and I'm just about ready to try a different cell company.

You got one of those phones too? Mine does that every 3 to 4 weeks. Cheap solution is to remove the battery for a minute. Then, when it re-boots, you have to set the time and date again.

Just turn it off for 2 minutes, then you don't have to reprogram it! From one who is VERY "Technologically Challenged".

I had the exact opposite happen with a speeding ticket in Tennessee, went to the court house to pay. Waited in line for 15 min to be rudely told they take cards for utility bills but not tickets. So I drove across town to my banks branch, walked in and asked for all singles. They woman was not very happy when I came back. Next time I'll ask for Sacagawea dollars.

The idiot at the next gas pump that was smoking at the pump. I got out of there as fast as I could.



and for the prius/diesel debate - The prius owner who pays $6K more for a car to save $2k in gas over the life of the car. :laughing: Every life cycle cost analysis I've done shows I won't save enough on gas to pay the extra the car cost.

Here is one for ya. Some of us were getting 75mph hwy, and 68 mph city in 1979 with VW diesel Rabbits. Feds said they could not be sold in the USA any more at that time. So, now we have them back and they don't get but 40 mpg. How much emission was coming out the tailpipe, when ALL was being burned to get the milage? Now, 40 is considered "good" for an electric car. Wish I still had my rabbit that got 70, and my HOT 'Stang that got over 31 mph. It can be done, but isn't really allowed.

I don't know anyone that has bought one to save on gas...

Main reasons so far...

Going "Green" (Big Deal in the SF Bay Area for bragging rights)

Single driver/free bridge and carpool lanes

Preferred Parking.
