Crazy, so I am thinking over the past few years, all the work done, all the time spent, and all my tools lost.

Crowbar - I had a nice crow bar, used a lot for demolition. Last seen in barn. Have no clue as to where it went.

Bolt cutters - Used to take down miles of barbed wire. Nice and easy to use. Must be out by a strand of fence I have not got to yet. Ended up buying a replacement pair, cause I have miles and miles to go with the wire. :)

Hammer - General use. Don't think it is in the yard.

Pruning saw - Must be up in a tree somewhere. I hate working on trees.

Hope none of the items are waiting for me and the machinery to find while working the fields. But the last year or so, have not found them yet.

Ya'll ever have stuff go missing..... maybe someday I'll find them and have a good laugh.

Yep, hammers, saws, work gloves, pry bars. Found out my neighnors clepto dog took them and buried them somewhere.

My Bruks ax....I was finishing up a job the day before selling my truck and I was in a rush. I think I left it on the back of the truck and drove away and it must have fallen off. Someone was real happy with that find. It still bothers me to this day.

Occasionally some helpful people will inform me that I've lost my mind...:D

Yep! I get the same thing, but at least I don't have to worry about running over it with the lawnmower. I actually ran over a garden hose last year with my rotary cutter on my tractor and snapped a shearbolt after chewing up about 25 feet of the hose and wrecking the hose reel.

I am the worlds worst at having tool boxes spread all over the place. I have tools in my cabin, toolboxes in my garage, toolboxes in my shipping container, tools in my lean-to barn on the side of my shipping container, and of course tools in my tractor toolbox and pickup truck toolbox. I have two or three of some tools because I can never find them and buy multiples to keep one everywhere. I just bought unversal joint adapters for my 3/8", 1/2", and 1/4" ratchets because I cannot locate the ones I know I have somewhere, but don't have days and days to search for them. Sigh. . . . :( I told my wife that when I get my shop built (hopefully later this year) I will bring all my tools to one spot and sort out the doubles and have a big garage sale.

I have to have many hammers, saws, cutters, Etc. I have gotten so good at loosing things, they go missing in hand while using them.:confused2:

Jinman, you and I must be related-I've got tools in four places, which guarantees that the tool I need is not where I'm at!!!

I keep threatning to bring them all to one spot, but never quite take the time to do it.....

I was weed eating pretty far from the house and usually take a gas can, extra string and a wire cutter with me on the 4 wheeler.

I finished and get back to the house and can't find the wire cutter. It is my favorite.

So, I retrace my path looking and looking. No luck.

About 3 months later I'm doing the same thing and there it is ... right in the middle of the tall weeds/grass/stuff.

So, now I have 2 favorite wire cutters.

I spent an hour or so brush hogging under some low tree limbs last Summer. In the process I got smacked in the face a few times. About a half hour after moving on to the open field I noticed that things seemed blurry and realized that my eyeglasses had gone AWOL. They're out there somewhere ...

One nice thing about gettin' older is when you do lose a tool, within a day or so you forgot you ever had it in the first place...
Therefore, you never lost that tool!!

My dad used to have the opposite malady. He would swear that a tool I had was his. I used to ask him when was the last time he ever bought a tool? He never could remember. I'd just snicker at him...;) I knew that any tool I forgot and left at his house would be "his tool" the next time I saw it.

My uncle was a commercial artist AKA sign painter.
He was always losing his expensive sign writer paint brushes.

They had a tame crow that would swipe them when his back was turned and fly away and hide them. (crow wanted attention)

Couple of years later he was patching a leak on the roof and behold, he found all the missing brushes under an eave.

Funny aside, the crow and the dog were friends as the crow would ride around on the dogs back.
Always together, rather than CAW-CAW, the crow would BARK like a dog!

I hate losing stuff, too. Most of my tools that I use outside get painted with fluorescent orange paint. The tool handles, (rakes, bush axes, etc.), also have my name stenciled on them. It's not as easy to overlook the tools left laying in tall grass, anymore.
