The snow conditions vary a lot from year to year, usually between 2-4 feet .The last years winters have been very mild, this winter with a lot of cold and snow reminds me of the winters in the fifties when I was a kid.
Norway is close to the Atlantic, so with westerly winds it is mild weather, if it changes to northeast winds, the air comes from polar areas and is very cold. It is the location of the winter high and low pressures that regulates our winters. Norway is a very "long" country, with a very big difference in the weather from the north to the south. Finnmark is the northernmost county

Sørlandet, the southern counties is another world compared to the north, spring has come here.
