How much snow do you get up there as ann average for a winter?????

Mornin John,
Im not sure what the average snowfall is in this area. The average precipitation for our area is about 46" per year. This winter we didnt have a real lot of snow, but in years past we have had a bunch, I can think of one storm we had in Dec of 2003 we got 4ft in one storm just to give you an idea. But I will try and find out!

The snow conditions vary a lot from year to year, usually between 2-4 feet .The last years winters have been very mild, this winter with a lot of cold and snow reminds me of the winters in the fifties when I was a kid.
Norway is close to the Atlantic, so with westerly winds it is mild weather, if it changes to northeast winds, the air comes from polar areas and is very cold. It is the location of the winter high and low pressures that regulates our winters. Norway is a very "long" country, with a very big difference in the weather from the north to the south. Finnmark is the northernmost county
